      Help and useful information

If you have received a letter from us you may like to choose one of the following:

Dispute the amount claimed

If you dispute part or whole of the amount claimed you should contact UK Debt Collection and inform them of the reason for the dispute. UK Debt Collection will inform your creditor of the dispute and often help resolve the matter without further action. Failure to inform them will only result in further action being taken which could cost you money & inconvenience. It may also adversely affect your case if there is a dispute and you wait until after legal action has started before mentioning it, you may still be liable for costs. If there is a dispute you should bring this to UK Debt Collections attention without delay.

Admit the amount claimed but cannot afford to pay

If you cannot pay the amount claimed in full it is often possible to arrange payments by instalments. In order to arrange this you must contact UK Debt Collection as soon as possible.

Do nothing

Your creditor and UK Debt Collection have no wish to start Legal Action against you. If you delay or do nothing, it is very likely that you will leave your creditor little alternative. Legal Action will almost certainly be taken which could ultimately result in judgments being awarded against you and even bankruptcy. If you are a business it could result in you business being closed down. How would you like to have bailiffs seize your goods & equipment and put padlocks on your doors?. You may find that you are subject to enforcement action which could include bailiffs attending you home or an attachment of earnings order being obtained to instruct your employer to deduct monies from your salary. You may also find that a charge is put on any property assets you may have, which could mean you may be in breach of your mortgage conditions. Needless to add that your credit worthiness record could result in having extreme difficulty gaining credit again or even opening a bank account. The worst thing you could do now is to do nothing.

After reading this page you will probably realise that it is in your own interests to try and resolve this matter as it is unlikely to go away. You can phone and speak to somebody during office hours or leave a message 24 hours a day. Alternatively you can email sales@ukdebtcollection.com

Why not ask us to set up a standing order schedule for you to sign?
